Texture: It is quite runny and liquidy in texture which is extremely easy to blend. I just love every bit of the blending process when it comes to this foundation. It’s so easy to blend, that even beginners can end up giving it a flawless finish. Look at the image below to see how liquidy the texture is and the following images show its spreadability and blend-ability, it is super smooth.
Fragrance: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation does have a weird chemical smell but it doesn’t bother me at all and goes away in seconds of application.
Coverage: It’s neither low nor high. It is a medium coverage foundation that just gives you an apt coverage for everyday wear. It’s quite build-able without looking cakey. The only problem with this foundation is that it tends to oxidize a bit if you layer up too much. It starts looking darker than its original tone.
Staying power: It has a decent staying power of around 5 to 6 hours if you have layered it up twice. It fades away sooner if it’s just a single layer on your face. Also, the staying power improved with a primer and makeup fixer so, if you are planning to attend a small event, then maybe you can go ahead with this foundation along with primer and fixing spray. I personally never use primer and fixing spray on an everyday basis.
Finish: It says it’s a Matte and Poreless foundation, but it gives an almost dewy finish that can be set into a matte look using any powder. The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder goes so well with this foundation. If you don’t plan to set it, it will still give you a healthy glow without moving or budging; it doesn’t even feel tacky to touch. It does blur out the facial pores but not to a very large extent. But for a drugstore brand, I feel it is a big deal that this blurs out my pores decently.
Pros:
- budget-friendly
- Easily blendable
- Dewy finish
- Decent Staying power
- Flawless finish
- Packaging
- Slight Fragnance
- It does tend to settle into fine lines, so not a very good option for wrinkly faces.
No exaggeration here whatsoever, I literally stock up on this whenever the sale starts. I love this foundation to bits to an extent that I am ready to overlook the biggest flaw of the packaging of this foundation.
