REVIEW: COSRX LOW PH GOOD MORNING GEL CLEANSER

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Today, I'll be discussing the COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser today, which I use as the second step in my double cleansing routine. This COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser review is for you if you're seeking for a mild yet effective cleanser that is ideal for combo skin.

My morning routine starts with cleaning, for which I use COSRX's low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. Although washing your face is important, try to avoid over scrubbing because doing so can remove the skin's natural oils and make acne worse.

Why use a low pH cleanser?

For example, the pH of the COSRX cleanser is stated to be 5. Since the pH of our skin naturally ranges from 4-6, it is preferable if the pH of our skincare products (which also include cleansing products) is the same. The majority of washing solutions are alkaline and have a pH that is higher than the pH that our skin naturally has. This causes our skin's pH to rise and can cause dehydration, which can result in various skin issues. Utilizing a cleanser with a low pH will help keep skin balanced and hydrated, reducing the likelihood of irritation.

Consistency

This gel cleanser is one of the few on the market that can also be used as a foamy cleanser. I first had breakouts when I tested the gel cleanser, so I was very cautious when washing my face. More recently, I discovered that it actually lathers up very beautifully when I was testing how effectively it removed makeup and I had to use a bit more force to my washing motions.

Scent:

It initially has a scent that is quite similar to tea tree oil and almost slightly medicinal. I honestly like this natural scent better than a strongly perfumed one. Bonus points for the scent's short duration.

Pros:

Although it is advertised for all skin types, including sensitive skin, this is a decent, mild cleanser for normal to slightly more oily face. However, I believe it can be more drying than a more creamy, moisturizing cleanser. It also has gentle acids that can be used for superficial exfoliation.

I like the texture and the tea tree oil aroma, and it does a wonderful job of eliminating any residual makeup remover balm residue after double cleansing.

Cons:

This cleanser could make your skin feel tight and dry if you have sensitive or dryer skin. Even with my typical skin, I just use this at night instead of using a cleanser in the morning.
Although this cleanser isn't expensive, IMO, packaging can get really leaky, which reduces the value of the product.

If you don't like tea tree oil, you might want to choose something else since there is a slight natural tea tree aroma that comes through.

Ingredients:

Here is the ingredients list of the COSRX

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Polysorbate 20, Styrax Japonicus Branch/Fruit/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Saccharomyces Ferment, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA

While Betaine Salicylate, a natural chemical exfoliator, keeps your pores in control and clear of dead skin cells that are hidden in the walls of your pores, Tea Tree Leaf Oil is an excellent antibacterial and can soothe and heal breakouts.

Despite the fact that this cleanser is fantastic for all skin types, I want to specifically mention that it's a good choice for sensitive and dry skin types because of the pH of 5. Because of the pore-friendly components, it also benefits oily and acne-prone skin types.

Serves as a Make-up Remover:

Unexpectedly, this gel cleanser can also remove makeup even though it feels soft (not all makeup though). I still like to double cleanse after applying makeup, though, rather than simply washing my face with facial wash.

Packaging:

Good Morning Gel Cleanser by COSRX is packaged in a white squeeze tube. I adore COSRX's packaging designs since they are consistently simple and elegant, including this one. There are two sizes offered: 50 ml and 150 ml. I have one with 150ml.

The Results:

Since the feeling that my face is about to break into a million pieces is not something to aspire for, my skin is grateful for the low pH cleanser. I'm ready to use the remainder of my skin care products because my skin is clear and bright.

Since cleansers aren't particularly fascinating, I'll be adding this tried-and-true product to my list of future purchases. If you decide to give it a try, please let me know here.
